Bio
Growing up in a doublewide mobile home in Ausitn, TX didnt make things easy for Dusty. Bullies arent born, they're made and being taunted with the name Dusty Doublewide by a bunch of snot-nosed tweens makes a pretty damn good bully. By the time high school started Dusty had already developed the wrong kind of reputation; she didnt care too much for grades or pep rallies or boys her age. She had big dreams and bright lights in her future and she knew it.

When Dusty turned 16 she decided that she had enough book learnin and set out to follow her ultimate dream; to become an American Gladiator. After years of watching the show on a busted old TV with bunny ears, she became determined to be one of those strong, big haired, red-white-and-blue polyester clad Amazon women. She packed up her things and jumped on the back of the first truck heading west to take her to Hollywood, California. Sadly, she arrived about 8 years too late since the show was cancelled in 1996. Though upset about the loss of her childhood dream and frustrated by her inability to recognize dated reruns, she picked her head up and decided to take on Hollywood. If theres one growing up in a trailer park will teach you, its how to persevere.

She slummed around the city, staying in cheap motels and crashing on couches. She picked up work as a bartender here or a waitress there. For years she scanned the papers and local listings for anything resembling the glamour and violence of her childhood dream. A few more years passed and she had almost forgotten about the dream all together when one night in the dingy bar she was working at, the news did a report on some crazy chicks back in Austin who decided to reinvent the sport of Roller Derby. Dusty saw the sparkle of the skaters outfits and the speed and power of these women and was reminded of her dream long ago. She packed her stuff, bought some skates and booked it back to Austin. Unfortunately she had to wait a couple years to actually skate because of TXRD's strict 21 year old age requirement and though cheating and fake IDs had gotten her far before, she decided she wanted to do something right for a change.

Since joining the Rhinestone Cowgirls, Dusty has reclaimed her trailer park roots, saving every dime she makes bartending to buy a shiny new Airstream. And now being called Dusty Doublewide is something shes proud of.
